Cattlemen’s Days Parade
New Parade Route Information for 2026
“As the agency responsible for public safety and mobility on state highways, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has determined that, due to increasing traffic and associated safety concerns, parade activities will no longer be permitted on Highway 50.
“While change can be difficult, our community has always adapted while honoring its traditions. In that spirit, the City of Gunnison and Cattlemen’s Days organizers have developed an alternative route that promises to be every bit as exciting and memorable.
“What’s new? The parade will continue to begin at American Legion Memorial Park, then proceed west on Virginia Avenue before turning north onto Main Street and concluding before Denver Avenue. Much of the parade experience remains unchanged, and the 100 block of North Main Street will be activated with a variety of engaging attractions. Stay tuned for additional details in the coming weeks.
